Cupola Painting Project

In 2021, Jeffrey was recruited by master iconographer Vladimir Krassovsky for a major cupola painting project at San Francisco landmark and international pilgrimage site Holy Virgin Cathedral, “Joy of All Who Sorrow,” after the original murals were whitewashed following structural repairs. Jeffrey’s main obedience was to paint the text of “Te Deum,” also known as the Ambrosian Hymn, in Palekh-style Church Slavonic. Other tasks included linework, pattern-painting, and silver-leafing.
